JP Stonestreet grew up on Gardner Lake a few miles outside of a small Kansas farm town. When Apple Computer was being launched in Silicon Valley, JP’s house had a party-line; that meant one phone line for three houses. The world of technology was a long way away from his farm town.
After graduating from The University of Kansas, he taught himself how to program in order to automate his tedious corporate job. That’s when he got his start in software.
For nearly 20 years, he’s been a serial Internet entrepreneur and web consultant. He’s built dozens of websites for large and small companies, in addition to several of his own.
In 2003, he founded PromoteWare, which was a modular web development platform used to build client websites. In 2005, he founded QuoteCatcher.com, which was a business-to-business lead generation company. In 2008, he sold both websites to a company located a few miles from Silicon Valley for a 7-figure payout.
After the sale of his business, he was a volunteer mentor at SCORE, counseling dozens of people who have the dream of starting their own business. This experience combined with his web startup background prompted him to write “The Web Startup Roadmap: Navigate Your Way to a Successful Online Business” as a way to share the painful and pleasant experiences that led to the successful sale of his web startup.
Now, he’s very excited about his next startup, OnlineStir, which is an affordable custom website design and online marketing agency based in Denver CO.
JP’s goal and the mission of OnlineStir is to help you get more leads from your website.
