Here’s some more details about my background…
In 1995, I taught myself how to program and there’s been no looking back. I’ve been a serial web entrepreneur and consultant for over 17 years. I’ve built dozens of websites for large and small companies, and I’ve created several of my own.
I also have a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Communications, which had very little to do with the web, but a lot to do with running a business.
In 2003, I founded PromoteWare, which was a modular web development platform used to build client websites. In 2005, I founded QuoteCatcher.com, which was a business-to-business lead generation company. In 2008, I sold both websites (and a few other small ones) to QuinStreet (QNST) in Foster City, CA for a 7-figure payout.
Since then, I was a volunteer mentor at SCORE between 2009 and 2013, counseling dozens of people who have the dream of starting their own online business. I also authored “The Web Startup Roadmap: Navigate Your Way to a Successful Online Business” as a way to share the painful and pleasant experiences that led to the successful sale of my web startup.
